Has anyone mounted a 110V air compressor to the lift post of a BendPak HD-9 4 post lift? I was told that all I really need to activate the air lock cylinders on the lift is a small tank :headscrat. If that is the case, I don't see why mounting a Pep Boys cheapo tank to the post would not work?

Thanks,
Mordi

Those air cylinders don't need that much pressure at all... keep in mind, you can use a vehicle's tire pressure to activate the whole system. So just get something small and inexpensive!

It only takes about 40-45 seconds to go from fully up to fully down, and since you only need air to bring the lift down (and simply past the lowest lock), a small air compressor should definitely work. Great idea.

does the rolling jack (can't remember the #) not also use air to raise it? Could this too be incorporated into your design? Just a quick thought?

BendPak does sell air line kits to do just that (hook up all air cylinders and rolling jacks to one air line).

Is that what you mean? Maybe you can ask them to send you a photo and you can create one yourself... worth a try.
