Hi, does anyone have any suggestions on who to buy a bendpak hd9-stx from? Pricing seems to be pretty much the same everywhere.

Also, what did you guys pay to have it installed? I’m getting prices of $1250 and up for them to accept delivery and do the install. Doesnt that seem a Little steep for a 4 hour install job? Thanks

In Canada, I believe that there is only one Bendpak dealer. At the time I bought my lift, I compared prices from US dealers too and the only difference was the exchange rate. It seems Bendpak keep a tight control on pricing.

I paid $1000 CDN to have my lift picked up at the shipping depot, delivered and set up in my garage. Money well spent in my mind. I bought my lift 3 years ago.

I have a local guy that will receive and install a 4 post or two post, for $695. That seems more in line. I do have one of the $1300 guys in my area as well but they are just out to **** and pillage.

I purchased two HD-9s directly from Bendpak and did the installation myself. It took about 3 days to pickup, disassemble, install the first one, but the second was a breeze once I knew how it all went together and I was confident I wouldn't crush anything.

Really glad I did it myself as I was confident it was done right with utmost care.

I saved myself over $2,500 quoted for installation. The hardest part was moving everything around without a forklift at my house, but i disassembled everything, and used straps and an engine crane to position.

I heard the only discount on price is if you order 6 or more, so unless some would do a group buy probably isn't happening. Very happy with the lifts in the first 2.5 months minus the silly approach ramps that don't lock back. Nitroshark has a great fix for that though if you search my recent thread.

You can buy directly from BP. If you do that, you save a lot of BS with the shipping and you skip several links of communication for those key issues.

I couldn't find any differences in prices from one place to another and your color choices are also the same everywhere. You can get grey, grey, or grey. :(

I didn’t get a bend pak. I went with another brand. My delivery, installation and set up was $500 for reference. Best $500 I spent. The runways are heavy as hell, especially the side with the cylinder. Plus he and I had everything together within 2hrs. Most of the time was spent moving the runways into place.

pricing is pretty much the same because it sent from the factory, delievery is built into the price, has far as installment, do it yourself and save money, its pretty simple, stand up, anchor down, add some power.

The HD9 Bendpak 4post lifts don’t even require that you anchor them unless you’re a shop.

Bradysdaddy, Where you at? Im in waukesha county and ready to pull the trigger on a 4 post. Pickup and setup for that price sounds reasonable.

Summit Racing matched the lowest price I found published on the Internet when I bought mine.

It was drop shipped from Bendpack.

Summit is easy to deal with.

Ditto. I'm in Milwaukee and debating doing the job myself. I can borrow a trailer, I can have the lift shipped to work, but at some point it makes sense to hire it out.

I shopped all over the internet and was just about ready to order when I just happen to be at our local Ford dealer with my wife and the lifts were being serviced by a local equipment company. Spoke with one of the lift techs. Turns out they are a Bendpak dealer among others (Ford dealer has a number of BendPak lifts). I called them and told them what I wanted. They could not undercut the lift price but on paper did the delivery and install for $600 turn key. They also did all the warranty service on site which turned out to be a great benefit. MDS Equipment here in Houston was great to work with and worked out cheaper than doing the job myself. Suggest you check with your local full service garage equipment company, you may be surprised what you can work out.

I had a local installer pickup my 2-post from GSE at the trucking terminal and install it for $450. He and a helper did it in four hours, and it was money well spent.

May I ask you to send me contact details for the folks who installed your lift? I am also looking at purchasing an HD-9 and would like to someone to receive/install at my home (I am also in the Houston area).

Thanks!

I did mine myself. Borrowed truck and trailer, picked up from freight, unloaded, assembled. If you can’t do that, $500 seems fair. If it’s already at your house and it’s just assembly, then less. But if they want $1000, that seems high.

I had my two post delivered to work and the warehouse guys loaded it onto my trailer for me. I installed it myself taking my time since I'd never done one before, in two days. Someone with experience should be able to do the install in less than one full day I'd think.

So in my opinion a couple hundred bucks for the labor would seem fair, the rest of the price would be for pickup and delivery which would vary by distance, but again it's hard to see more than a couple hundred for that.

IMO $1250 would seem too high, but who knows the market until you get a couple quotes.

$200.00 for a days work is $25.00 per hour that's pretty cheap for even one guy if he needs to have any equipment. I think $500.00 is closer to fair.

That seems reasonable but the more common price seems to be around twice that. Would you pay twice as much or DIY?

He may have been referring to MTF Equipment Sales. This is the company that installed and serviced the Rotary lift I purchased from a tire shop last summer when they closed up and the owner moved to a Caribbean island home. :)

It isn't that difficult if you are going with the 4 post lift. I have assembled a couple a number of years ago, and I was even able to get my wife to help on one of them. If you do it in the spring when it is warm, I come down and give you moral support. I am getting too old to do the lifting myself, but I don't mind helping with tips and encouragement. In my opinion, there is no better lift for the hobbyist at their price point, than a Bend Pak
