What did it say in the manufacturer's instruction book you had to read before you were certified to install CSST? What was the minimum bending radius specified?

I'm sure you are asking me this because you know the answer already.

I'm not certified (who knew!) but I am having a certified gas installer do the final hook up. I'm just doing the rough in for him.

3 words . . . ;)
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . black pipe steel

The problem is that the line has to run across the face and around the sides of the steps into the garage.
The steel is too thick and would really look bad.
In ten feet it has to turn 4 times.

Suggest you do a google search on the particular CSST brand you are using. Each has it's own instruction book. Read through it carefully and you'll learn lots of great stuff. There will likely be a table that lists absolute minimum bending radii for EACH DIAMETER of CSST and a recommended minimum that will be higher. At the back of the book, you should find a certificate you can print out, after reading and understanding the whole book, that you can put your name on.

Then you'll be certified.

Good Luck!

Phil

p.s. Pay extra special double attention to the bonding requirements. That's where most people screw up...and it can result in a fire. You'll need to run the proper sized bonding wire from your CSST to the home's main electrical ground at the breaker box.
