UPDATE: I just completed the purchase of an HD-9, RJ-45 and a few other items with Michael and all went well. I contacted him via email directly and we had a few discussions to answer my questions. Once I paid the lift was at my local freight terminal in less than 2 weeks. It was a flawless transaction!

Not sure if there is a "group buy" going any longer or not, but I got mine a few months back, and paid less than what I was quoted here. Shop around a little, you can find deals out there if you contact the sellers directly- They all drop ship from Bend-Pak.

I LOVE mine. No more crawling on the floor.

Mystic, your site is quoting $3,895 for the HD-9 120v ?? Something clearly is going haywire.

Can you please PM me with your actual cost, and accessories.

Thanks.

Bummer. Seems every forum that tries to put together a Group Buy on a Lift collapses. Don't get why this is so difficult?

I would imagine part of the problem is, how low can they go before they cut their profit, like the HD9xl on amazon for $2940, think it will be hard to find it any cheaper?

Just speculation, but 90% of the people claiming to want on on the forum may be dreamers.

well, i think your guess of 90% might be optimistic.

i think people assume that they are going to get 30% of the going price or something, which isn't going to happen.

the dealers won't have anything left assuming it doesnt leave them under water, and BP won't undercut the dealers for a one time sale (even of several units) . . . .

and this group buy won't even all be delivered to the same location. would be better to find someone building a dealership close by, and see if you can piggy back on their order. then at least they can ship 24 to the dealership, and add yours to the truck, and you can get a local ramp truck to meet the delivery and pick it up for you (although the ramp truck might eat up all of your savings.).
