do you have to bolt down the 4 post lifts? I have seen them both ways. I have a 12k coming on Monday. pretty sure I have it with enough clearance around it but would be nice to move it if I want more. thanks

Nope, not necessary to bolt them down.

I have the HD-9 Wide and also bought the Caster Kit for it, makes it easy to move around my shop if needed.

Also, check out the RJ-45 Rolling Jack; I love mine...very handy accessory.

a 12K may have to be bolted. My HD9 has both platforms bolted to the cross pieces and does not need to be bolted and I have the caster kit which works well the few times I moved it, but my HD14 has one ramp fixed and the other movable and is bolted. Check the manual...

Good point...didn't think about his being a larger lift. I also noticed on Bend-Pak's web site that the Caster Kit is only available for the HD-9 Series lifts.
So, I would agree to check the installation manual.

mine (HD9ST) is not bolted. I also recommend RJ-45, casters, and the aluminum ramps unless your layout allows you to leave the ramps attached at all times.

After owning a RJ 45 for a few years I really want another. 2 jacks would be really nice at times.

mine also has a fixed runway and a movable one. so it has to be bolted. got a good deal on it. its 4-5 years old and comes with 2 7k jacks, delivered and installed for $3000.00
