tomorrow Im changing out my clyinders thats been dead for about a year, It would be a simple three minute repair if the bendpak people had any intelligents.

there a clamp about four foot up, thats welded. why could you made it a bolted clamps, it would not have been that hard, you could of even used a chinesse metric bolt.

so the ram has to come out of the top, its weights about 130 pounds, nothing to gran too, and since the welded clamp is welded, the hose fitting will not get by the clamp, so oil going every where. yall really needs to re-engineer this stupid design
so the ram 130 pounds, nothing to grab on to. if it wasnt for the stupid welded clamp, it would tilt forward, with the freaking hose still on it. guess what, then there wouldnt be any oil everywhere. and it could be change in three minute, without back problem dropping stuff

so the carriage is all the way up. the cylinder has to go up four feet to cleat the clamp, the chain, cable pulley will be in the way, then tilt the cylinder back to clear the welded clamp. yall really need to rethink this ****. now remember 130 pound, oily , nothing to grab too. and the carriage in the way, with oil squirting every where. damn yall are stupid.

it would of been so simple, un-bolt the clamp and tilt forward.

so tomorrow we see how many fingers i loose

When I run across poorly designed for repair/maintenance, I redesign it so I never have to go through that again.

ok second day, the cylinder has to come out the top, so have to take the top off, disconnect the cables, parts going every where, working off a ladder instead of four feet because on one clamp that welded. so I got to figure on out to lift a clyinder 16 feet for what would of been a three minute job, and I still not sure if i can get by the chain just yet

really beginning to think, bend pak is a harbor freight company.

Can you disassemble the column from the floor and the crossbar and lay it on its side? Then the cylinder will just slide out...a likely oversimplification.....

Or cut the offending part out and bolt it back in...if you trust your own work.
