I have a BendPak HD-9XW but I really need to add a double wide HD-9SWX so the post are not in the way in the middle.
It is a 9K lift but Bendpak's literature says to reduce the capacity based to wheelbase. I see pictures online of Corvettes and Vipers on the lift but they are technically in violation on the wheelbase load. Technically 2 cars with a 100" wheelbase would reduce the capacity to about 55% or 4950 ils.
Min Wheelbase @ Rated Capacity 135”
Min Wheelbase @ 75% Capacity 115”
Min Wheelbase @ 50% Capacity 95”
Min Wheelbase @ 25% Capacity 80”
Here is what the HD-9SWX looks like.
I need it to put 2 C5 on top, which weigh a about 3300 pounds each. You can see the construction paper I was playing with in this picture and the post are just in the way with 2 more HD-9XW's.
To my knowledge Bendpak is the only lift manufacture that reduces capacity based on wheelbase. Unfortunately their customer service is not great and no one seems to even know this is in the literature. Anyone have any first hand experience here?
