Bendpak Extension Ramps - options?

Hi, I have a Bendpak HD-9 4 post lift and a very low profile car that will not go up the ramps without hitting (bad). I have the standard 3' ramps that came with the lift.

I know you can buy the 4' extension ramps for about $400, but since I have a 1.5" (or so) drop at the garage door and the new ramps will go past that I'm not sure even the 4' ramps will do the job. Does anyone know other options/universal ramps, etc that might work to give me even less incline?

I prefer not to have to break out a pile of wood each time I get the car down.

Thanks in advance!!!

I have the same 3' ramps, but my double lift came with 2 pairs. Since I only needed one pair, I cut up the second pair to make extensions. I hinged them to the end of the other ramps, and flip them down when I want to use the ramps.

That would be perfect. I don't have the material or tools to build that without having a few hundred $$ into it. I hope to find something similar 'off the shelf'.

I think only you will be able to tell what will work for you, but for an idea maybe see if Race Ramps has something in the Rack Ramp line that would work for you.

I wouldn't do race ramps if approach area have a lip where the race ramp cannot be firmly supported, planted 100%, that would damage the race ramp (deform or even crack it)

I just bought an HD9 and did the 4' aluminum ramps. Honestly, I would have been better off working with a welder and getting custom made that would also hinge up out of the way. I am probably going to get mine modified to make life easier.

The Race Ramps have worked great for the last three years for me. I use the stock ramps then lift up the ends and slide the Race Ramps under the ends of the stock ramps.

I like the way those look, I may have to fab up something like this. Like you, my garage door would hit ramp extensions so I'd need them to fold inside the door somehow. I have the same problem as the OP, my low profile cars can't get in without scraping
