I want to put a 4-post lift in my 3rd garage stall and these two seem to be the best options.

The space is:

96" door
110" wide (support post to exterior wall)
200" deep
115" tall (support beam)
133" tall (rest of ceiling around support beam)

I have 3 uses in mind:

1 - Store tools, spare heavy car parts, ect on top with a car below

2 - Store a 50" tall Corvette on top and 63" tall G37 below it

3 - Store a 50" tall Corvette above or below with another sports car above/below

Which of the 2 options would be best for my situation? Feedback from owners of each would be great.

I see the 'M' revision of the HD-9 is 110.25" so I went and remeasured my garage. I have exactly 111.5" between a steel support beam and my exterior wall... very close

If that minimal clearance would work, I guess I could consider the HD-9 for extra width for my ~77" tire to tire outside width

Also, is the 200" 'length' of the lift including the ramps extended?

It's not as close unless the support beam hits exactly where one of the lift legs will be. Get the heavier lift if price is no object.

The HD-7 actually cost a tiny bit more than the small HD-9 sizes. They sell way less HD-7's so the pricing isn't that great so I would defiantly be looking at the HD-9 series.

I've had an HD9XW about 5 years now, use it almost everyday and still love it...

So 'max rise' of 70" means that would be the head clearance walking around under it? That's kind of disappointing because I'd be using it for storage occasionally and would need a minimum of 75" to stand up straight.

Link to the Bendpak specs for the HD-9 models. I have the HD-9STX. I have to figure out a way to replace the stock ramps with quickly removable pieces. The overhang eats up lots of space unnecessarily and is always there to be walked into accidentally. Also. I chose my garage door height based on the overall height of this lift so I could roll it outdoors if desired. The 'overall' height Bendpak shows does NOT include the stickout of the cables. I had to slacken the cables and it still barely fit through the door opening.

That 'max rise' is the bottom of the rail at full height, not the bottom of the vehicle. I can walk under the 82" of the STX. The undercarriage of the vehicle will be higher still. You'll likely have to lower the vehicle to actually be able to work on the driveline.

Here's a picture of where I need it to fit.

The 3rd stall is about 31" deeper than the rest of the garage to compensate for that 3rd door being offset from the front of the house for some architectural purpose. I have 200" between the third door and the main wall (not alcove).

I'd like the lift to go at least 75" in the air so I could get tools more easily while all that junk is up on the lift.

I'll also be building storage shelves above my toolbox and would like to have the lift close enough to slide things from the lift to the shelf.

I wish you could get the HD-9XW in a 200" length

I guess I could just remove and reinstall the ramps each time, but that seems like a pain

Anyone have to do that on their lift?
