Long story below, short story - I'm happy. Everything's in and the car's up. Only minor problem is the ramps but that's a problem with the 4" lip on my garage not anything to do with Bendpak. Given the potential hurricane damage, I'm doubly happy.

Could have been very different, the install was delayed 2 weeks due to Hurricane Harvey but neither the lift or the garage was flooded. Although this is what my neighborhood looked like two weeks ago.

Anyway today was the day. I decided to have a local professional installer (MTF Equipment) do the install for my peace of mind and they'd run interference if there were any problems.

After reading several of the threads here, I was hesitant to go with Bendpak but went ahead anyway. I wanted the smaller footprint and height of the 7W. I'm 6'2" and wanted to be able to walk under the lift without ducking.

A 3 person team showed up at 9:30 and finished before 3pm.

I opted to have the lift crated and shipped directly to the installer. The installer was asked to reject the shipment if there were any problems - They didn't see any. The team uncrated at their yard and brought it to the house on a trailer.

Was the crating worth it? It was to me not to worry about the damage that I've seen in threads here. There was still a few nicks here and there but nothing really to ***** about. There was some surface rust on the packing frame and the casters but it wiped off easily. The powder coating looks great and no complaints.

They assembled the lift frame in a couple of hours and spent the rest of the time plumbing in the lines.

The install team took about an hour showing me how to operate the lift, explaining how it was plumbed, and answering any questions that I had. Definitely chose the right installer.

Nice lift and awesome car. Man Texas is sure becoming the car mecca of the US. Glad to hear you came out unscathed. Def post some pics of that lift in action. I am hoping to pick one up in 2018.

Thanks folks, I'm grinning every time I walk into the garage. I'll post up more pics once I get the ramps sorted.

I lived in New Orleans so flooding is familiar but certainly not something that I want to relive. Very relieved to say the least.

Congrats and I can't tell you how cool it was hearing about a recent BP purchase that wasn't chock full of complaints and nit picking. I bought mine a dozen years ago and am still very happy with my purchase. And glad the flooding left you unscathed, I have several friends in your area with the same story. They were fine but others within yards of their places weren't.

In Houston, near buffalo bayou. We were within a foot of evac'ing but it stopped short of the house.

I was pleasantly surprised on the lift given some recent stories. I did everything that I could to minimize problems (read threw money at it).
