Trying to decide which way to go. Wondering if anyone who purchased an HD-9ST has regrets they didn't get the wider model.
Currently looking to keep a Porsche 911 on the lift during winter months but will also be using it to service various vehicles such as older Toyota and other small pickups as well as smaller SUV's.
Originally thought the HD-9ST was way to go but now thinking it may limit me in terms of servicing other vehicles. Full size SUV's and full size pickups are not in my future.
2 car garage 26' wide x 32' deep with 12' ceilings and 3800 jack shaft Liftmaster openers on both. 10' wide overhead doors.
Figured the 9ST was best as it has a smaller foot print and would rather keep floor space available for other equipment but also not looking to regret the purchase and have a lift that is limited to only small vehicles.
Anybody been down this road and have thoughts to share would be appreciated.

With that size garage, I would go for the HD-9. My garage is only 18x19 so the only option is the ST.

Seven of those extra 10 inches of width are between the runways (the wide offers a narrow and wide setting) so if you plan to do work on it, 44.5 inches between the runways is an advantage over 37.5.

I don't think you will get a whole lot of cars on the wide that won't fit on the narrow version but if I had your garage I'd be looking at the extra length versions. You'll run out of length before you run out of width if you want to get a full size pickup on it.

With your garage and doors, I'd absolutely get the wider lift. Just the convenience driving on/off with the extra width between the columns will be worth it! (Extra length lift would also fit nicely in that garage!)

Get the extra wide lift if it will fit by all means!
I have an extra long wide and tall. A friend bought the std width and it's not quite wide enough or long enough for his 40's and early 50's chryslers.

I have the wide version and would not want the narrow version. When driving cars on and off, I appreciate the extra drive-through room the wide provides. Even with the wide, I'm still very cautious about not hitting an outside mirror!
