If I were to install an HD-9 right against a wall, can anyone tell me what the clearance would be between the wall and the outer edge of the runway, in each of the two adjustable positions? This measurement isn't shown in any of the data sheets. Thanks.

Is it going on the left or right side of the garage?

21" to 28"(on one side with ramps in close)

I put mine ~10" off the wall just to give some space for doors and the power unit.

Thanks Nathan,

Looking in from the driveway, it would go on the left side. If I put the movable runway on the left side, I shouldn't have to worry about power unit clearance since it would end up on the right side along with the fixed runway, right?

Sorry this took so long I have been busy. Here are a couple of shots where mine is placed. My bay is only 11 feet wide. It is a pain but it beats the floor jacks. I just trn the car around if I have to work on that side.

I am having a real tough time getting the pictures right but you should be able to get an idea.

Joe

You should be ok, you can have the moveable ramp on either side...just depends on how you put it together. I have my moveable ramp on the right side, but you can build it 'backwards' from mine to make it work well in your space.

Thanks for posting the pics, Joe. Is that a standard HD-9 (not ST or X, etc.), and is it set up for wide or narrow?

It is the standard and set up narrow. To get a perspective notice the arc on the cross arm is the distance that the ramp will get to. It will be tight but you can manage. The most difficult thing is to ge to that space if the car is not all the way up. If you have any more questions let me know.
