Hi,
Brand new member here! I just recently purchased and installed a Bendpak HD-9ST 4 post car lift in garage. I'm in the process of running the wire from my subpanel, which is luckily in my garage as well.
The manual calls for a 25 amp breaker. When I look inside the junction box above the motor, there are three 14 awg wires (black, white, green). Seems I'll advised to splice 10 awg with 14 awg?
I checked the data plate on the motor and it's says FLA of 11.7 amps for 2hp.
Can somebody please provide guidance on what gauge wire I should use? I have plenty of leftover 12 awg Romex from previous projects, so I was gonna use a 20amp breaker with 12 awg Romex along with 12 awg sjoow cord.
Appreciate the help!
