Bendpak HD-9XL assembly question

Preparing to run the cables on my HD-9XL and notice that there was a steel strap that the cylinder was resting on, and preventing the cylinder guide assembly from riding on the flange on the underside of the runway. Should I bend the steel strap out of the way so that the guide assembly will ride on the flange or is it OK the way is is? Here's a photo:

I'd recommend sending that pic to Bendpack and your shipper...looks like the paint has been scraped off in that area also.

Agree. That whole area is really scarred up, including up the inside of the rails.

The thin crossbar is definitely bent.

Pretty minor shipping damage IMO - but you definitely want to bend that back so the ram rides where it should.

Mine was "tweaked" like that.. but not near as bad. I just bent it back.

Be sure the rail is not buckled on the sides? Meaning the rail width is the same all the way down. (20 foot length longways)
