That's nice. But to the runways really have no fence to prevent you from driving off the side? I can't really tell by the video.

They don't have a fence. But I think it would do little, plus often you are coming at an angle and would be driving over them.

Video looks great! I like how you modified the pins and sheaves. The attention to detail will help many in this forum. Great tips!

Great video! I installed a Bend Pak HD-9 XW three years ago. I like that at full height the runways are about 7' off the ground so that I don't bang my head.

It took me two weeks to get mine up and running since it was just me doing it. The instructions are good. Yes, one single person can do the install.

I have since added the floor dollies to move it if needed and the jack tray.

It has worked faultlessly. I adjusted the cables for the first time this fall. The instructions say annual but I found that it was not needed. I do lube once a year.

I need to do some work on the ceiling, moving lights and relocating the opener higher. Should buy me another 18" or so.

With respect to help. I got help unloading the truck. Also when raising the columns with the cross tubes installed and dropping the runways on the cross bars. About 30 mins. total. The reality of it is when doing a project like this I really do not want any help. It is my life and I trust my own work. Just get out of the way and don't jam me up.

Ceiling height: Not high enough! My ceiling is 10' tall. I needed the length and width of the lift and unfortunately can't take advantage of the full height.

I can however put the Pantera on top and fit my vette underneath.

I can fit my sloburban on the lift and work underneath it.

I know your pain. My garage has 11' ceiling, and I can only get my collector cars 4' off the ground before I have to worry about them hitting the ceiling. I have been thinking how I can get some additional space, but the best that I can gain is an additional 2' down the center, and tapering 4" in 12" to the sides. I hardly think it is worth the expense. I am now thinking that I need to build another building just to house the cars and lift.

The Pain...........This is still leagues better than crawling under the car with jacks. Luckily these cars are very short.

I did consider adding one more high bay onto the garage. There is no better time than now to do additions.
