Hey all, I began wireing my lift this weekend but seemed to hit a snag. I am trying to connect it to a dryer cord, so i can unplug the lift. When i took the switch cover of the lift motor off to get a better look at things i saw 5 wires. (its a single phase motor) Theres a ground, a black and a white (the two hots) going into the switch. Then theres a blue and a white going into the motor, not connected to anything. I assume they go in the switch, but there are 6 terminals on it, so I'm not sure where. And help other than the useless instructions would be appreciated. Thanks!

My HF scissor lift I bought a dryer pigtail and made it an adapter 4 prong to 3 prong outlet and made a 220v extension cord. They were very helpful at Lowes as to how to do it. Home depot they just said it can't be done. It works very well by the way.

These are some pics of the power box on my HD9ST with an SPX motor.

Are you talking about this?

What you get is a little sketchy and I wanted mine on 3 phase so I called an electrician mate who is used to wiring up industrial machinery. From memory the polarity of the motor is also an issue. You need to determine the shaft rotation direction to the polarity.

Good luck:thumbup:

If yours is 3 phase too either a motor swap to single phase or a phase converter will be your options.
