Bendpak install: what is this part?

Putting together a Bendpak four post lift and things are going pretty well but we've got eight of these star-looking washers and have no idea where they go. A little help?

Looks like push-on retaining ring typically used on shaft to keep it from falling out of its bore, ie pinned in place. Cheaper than cotter pin i guess.

Vtor thanks for the post, you got me pointed the right direction. They are used to hold the shafts through the tire stops and ramps.

That's exactly what it's for... how did the install go? I just did two of these a few months ago and (other than dealing with gravity) it was fairly straight forward!

Finished up this afternoon. Went well. Nice piece of equipment. I was helping my kid assemble it for his shop. That means I get access whenever I need a lift, right?
