Can’t pinpoint where it’s leaking from, but there is fluid seeping and dripping on my floor. I tightened the 4 screws holding the tank, but still leaking.

The ports on the side are all tight also that aren’t used.

Any idea what I need to do to stop the leak?

What’s the oil level in the reservoir?

I recall that the tank fill cap has an integral dipstick.

The port plugs and relief valve have oring seals. You should be able to see damage to the oring or sealing surface after pulling out the plugs.

The tank to valve block seal may also be an oring, but I don’t think there is any active fluid there, as there are tubes that act as suction and return passages, and the lines run to the bottom of the tank.

Bottom line is that you’re going to have to disassemble things and look. BendPac doesn’t manufacture the pump. It’s a relatively generic part used by a number of vendors, and in many applications.

I cleaned up the oil now to see if I can get a better idea where the leak is coming from. Yea it does appear it’s coming from the port with the allen plug as it has some oil around it. It’s really tight. I’m thinking it’s coming from around where the tank mounts up. Not sure what type of seal it has there. When I wiggle the tank I can see oil seep between, but that maybe is from the port also.

Is it just me or does it look like the top flange of the tank is cracked? Although your leak appears to be coming from higher than that anyway.

I have the same exact leak on my 1.5yo Bendpak 2 post 10k lift. I'm also in KC. It doesn't leak very much. I've wiped it down once and it slowly dripped from that same location over the next few months. Everything seemed tight, so I never figured it out.

odd, mine is about the same age as yours, wonder if they forgot a seal.

As for the P2 port, i wiped it yesterday, it does not show any sign of oil today.

Still see some oil between the tank and the unit, so my guess is whatever seal is between that.

Me, I'd be a little bit gunshy about taking forum advice for something like this. I'd be sending an email to my Bendpak guy.

The oil level should not be high enough to leak out at the top of the tank, plus the tank is not under any pressure. I believe the oil you see around the lip is from a leak higher up. In the pic you can see oil puddle in the recess of P2.

Looks like that ORB plug is leaking, probably has a chewed up o-ring. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen that on one, a new ring and pre lube it and snug the plug down should be good. Don't go crazy, cheater bar tight.
