We had something similar on our Bendpak's, just more of a high pitch noise though. It ended up being the carriage chattering against the inside corners of the columns while lifting. Just lubed up the inside of the columns and they were quiet after that.

That was my first thought. So that's exactly what I did this weekend before taking this video.
Greased up both columns really well and still making this noise :/

Sounds like air in the system, at least on my Apple tablet.

Having said that, my motor failed . Noise first, followed by electric arcing. BendPac doesn’t sell the motor separately, nor do most of their imported competitors, as far as I can tell. Even the big boy commercial units have pricing structured such that a power pack doesn’t cost that much more than a motor. The motors all have proprietary spline drives, so an off the shelf motor won’t be easy to adapt.

I bough an SPX power pack to replace the original BendPac Chinese powerpack. All is well, although it wasn’t exactly inexpensive.

Hopefully, your issue is just air, which a good bleeding should fix.

Mine is supposed to be "self bleeding."

There is a procedure to do it, so I'll definitely give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestion. Still waiting for Bendpak to get back with me.

there’s a couple lines in the installation manual telling you how to do it. (At least there was in mine, but it’s probably four or more years old.)

nothing complicated from what I recall. Just crack the fittings To relieve trapped air.

I had a problem with chattering and noise with my double wide lift. The bearing races in all the pulleys needed lubrication. Little grease and it went away. Have to remember to grease it periodically. Haven’t had similar issues with my single BendPak lift. BTW, grease fix was recommended by BendPak tech line.

Ok I'll get up there and grease those things. I tried the procedure in my manual to bleed the system, but same results.

Bleeding the Hydraulic Cylinder
Bleeding the Hydraulic Cylinder removes excess air from the cylinder. Air in the Hydraulic Cylinder can
cause the Lift to move erratically or make odd noises.
The Hydraulic Cylinder is self-bleeding, which means you just have to use the Lift a few times and
excess air will get worked out of the Hydraulic System.
To bleed the Hydraulic Cylinder:
1. Raise and lower the Lift four or five times;
you must wait 30 seconds between each cycle.
Refer to Operation for raising and lowering instructions.
2. Check the Hydraulic Fluid level; it may be down as a result of using the Hydraulic System.
Add more Hydraulic Fluid if necessary. Lift must be fully lowered to change the Hydraulic Fluid.
3. Raise the Lift to full rise and run the motor for approximately three seconds after the Lift stops.
This places pressure on the Hydraulic System.
4. Stop and check all fittings and hose connections; tighten or reseal if required.
5. Lower the Lift back to the ground
