I bought the MDS6K and have gotten to the point of filling it with ATF and attempting the bleed procedure, which is to simply raise and lower the lift several times. What is happening is only one side raises. The other side won't begin to raise until the other side is maxed out on height. But it gets stranger. When you lower the lift partially and try to raise it again, one side will raise while the other side simultaneously lowers. I doubled checked the hydraulic schematic and have made sure the flow divided is hooked up properly.

Does anyone know what the hell might be going on?

When you say bleeding it is raising it and lowering it several times, I hope your abbreviating the sequence of steps you’re doing. You should be loosening a bleed screw when the lift arms get to the top of the travel to bleed the air out. This is how I did it on my Chinese lift and it appears to be of similar constructions- 2 cylinders per platform.

They claim the cylinders are "self bleeding".

This is lower than HF quality.

Funny you should say that. One of the cylinders just blew the seal out after raising the lift 3 times. Plus, I now have to wonder if the flow divider is screwed up from being hooked up wrong (it matched the schematic in the manual).

I can't even begin to express how pissed off I am.
