Bendpak lift?

I know it has been discussed to death BUT I am ready to buy a lift and I am looking for something a step above the inexpensive types like Atlas, etc. I noticed that Bendpaks are not terribly expensive like say a Mohawk but higher than an Atlas. Could any of you give me some advice,
I don't want the cheapest but I don't want the most expensive either. Another way of putting it is I don't want a Chevy but I can't justify a Cadillac. Somewhere in between like a Buick. Is a Bendpak a good lift? Are there any other brands in the Bendpak price range that are a better value. BTW I am looking for a 2 post 9,000 lb lift. for a small repair shop at my used car lot.

Well it looks like Bendpak doesn't make a 9,000 lb 2 post with a clearfloor, only a floor plate model. I want a clear floor lift, any suggestions?

Yeah, automotive Service Equip. has a discontinued 10K, wide 2 post on clearance for $2,630 free shipping. I may go for that. Should i be concerned that it is a discontinued model? It is $250 less than the same spec new model.

Bendpak is a great lift. Have you considered a used one. I just got a used one that was used by a guy who used it for his classic cars. I paid $900 for it and it works great!!!!!!

I do have DODGE Ram 3500 (CTD 5.9) QuadCab Single Rear Tire LONG bed that
I may want to lift infrequently

Most of my lifting will be of classic older Camaros

They are sold out of those, website is not up to date. I just ordered the new xpr-10 from bestbuyautoequipment.com after a lot of contemplating and research. Good warranty and great customer service so far. Go for it.

Bend Pak apparently has the best warranty overall for all the off shore lift mfgs.

Having said that there are still other offshore mfgs that have sold MANY trouble free, with no warranty claim issues.

WE (this membeship) need conclusions that help with the best value lifts, similar to what Consumer Reports does.

Not necessarily the absolute best, but best quality for the best price ?????

The BEND PAK name might go a long ways toward a better resale value when sold
some day ???????

I would buy the asymetrical, you can never have enough door room on a two post lift. Bend Pak has customer service that is second to none...they are the best.

Off shore? I thought Bendpak was made in the USA.

I've looked at the forum on lifts for a little while. I just got off the phone with BendPak and they told me that their lifts have:
The components are built overseas
Assembled in the United States
They aren't American built
I talked to one guy at "Superlift" (Used to be built in Missouri) now purchased by Gemani lifts who said they are the only company other than Mohawk who builds in America now.
The superlift SR-7HXLT was $4,500 delivered with ramps, jack plate and casters (no drip tray). Rated 8,000 lbs
Thats about $1,500 higher than bendpak.
Got to say, I'm really getting confused on these lifts.
Looks to me like many are "private labeled" for other companies.
So here is my question.
Who is making most of these lifts?
Which one is a good / safe / hobby lift
and how can you find out the truth on thes critters.
Sure would appreciate some info from you experts

Buy a Bendpak and be done with it. I have 3 BP's. High quality, certified, pricing is fine.

You could also buy a Rotary or Mohawk (overkill).

The whole Made In The USA is Marketing B.S. I haven't seen proof of U.S. Steel procurement from any lift manufacturer.. I'd like to see it just for kicks. At the end of the day, most of the steel used in Autos/building/etc. now comes from offshore (China). Their steel production is 10x that of the U.S.

I'm still pushing the Bend Pak. If for nothing else, their customer service, is absolutely outstanding. You can see by the posts in this forum that Bend Pak bends over backwards to satisfy their customers even when they don't need to.

Dont bother....I have a Whip, it is a tank, great power unit, crazy thick arms but isnt ALI certified and not a Bendpak or $1595 so its pretty much overlooked. Which is unfortunate because for under $3000 it is a great choice.

Rotary's Revolution line is made in China but is made in Rotary's wholly-owned factory there. If you are looking for a home-use 4 post, the RFP9 is a great deal. Casters, jack plate and drip trays for $3346.50 (delivered price) It's a bit higher than Bend Pak, but backed by the best company in the industry.

I normally don't post feedback, but I can't agree enough! Probably the best customer service I've seen from any industry. Anyone that has the chance to buy one, do it!
