BendPak lift?

I was just pricing lifts and was really leaning toward the Greg Smith 10,000 lb extra height lift. However I just found a BendPak Model XPR10ACX-168 which is ALI certified and is not that much more money.

I know allot of celebrities endorse this lift, but to me that just means that they spend allot on advertising, or supply free lifts to celebrities.

Anyone here use that lift, and if so, how is it?

I see it's $3075 online. Seems like a hell of price for a BendPak 2-post. As a BP owner (4 post), I'm obviously biased - but not just because I own one, but because I like equipment that works even better than advertised, where the company stands behind the product and where you hear of all kinds of examples of others having the same experiences.

The more you read about BP, the better it looks.

I'm not a BendPak owner because I really don't have the room so I went with a MaxJax, but I'm always reading up on BendPak because... well... they're everywhere. That latest article they wrote about the top 10 things a buyer should look for when buying a lift was pretty impressive to me. I mean, after reading through that longggggg post, you do get a sense of a non-biased list of things you JUST need to know before your purchase.

If you didn't see it, take the time to read it... here it is:

I don't own that lift but I did purchase a motorcycle lift from Ranger which is a division of BendPak.

The point I am trying to make is that the BendPak customer service is unbelievable! I had some minor issues with my lift and BendPak Ranger bent over backwards to make it right - more so than I ever expected them to do.

Even if you have to pay a bit more for a BendPak, I think it would be worth it for the "peace of mind" if there are any issues

BendPak get's my vote - you won't regret it

I am looking for a 4 post lift, I am comparing the BendPak HD9 and the Direct Lift ProPark 8+. They are both made offshore, both are certified, the BendPak is assembled in the US. From what I have seen, I believe the BendPak is a better lift, but I am having trouble justifying the $1500.00 price difference for a similarly equipped lift. Although SWMBO is threatening to cover the difference, which will make my choice easy. :)

I too have aPend Bak HD9. While it's not what the OP is looking for, I am very pleased with my Bend Pak Lift. While assembling, I had a few questions and was pleased to be able to call an 800 number to get answers. The guys on the other end of that 800 number were very helpful.

ixlr8 mentioned that a Direct Park was ALI rated, but I do not see that on their website. (Perhaps I am missing something) All I see is that Direct Park is installing the ALI safety stickers...which are warning stickers...NOT certification stickers. IAm I missing something?

I have paperwork that says they are ALI certified, the PP8 was not, but PP8+ was. I have checked their web site, in the past I thought I saw there that they were ALI certified... now all I see are the safety labels... no mention of certification... I am heading off to the ALI site to verify. If the Direct PP8+ is not certified.. that makes my decision easier. Did you go to the Greg Smith website or directly to the Direct Lift web site?

edit: ALI web site shows they are certified, look under the Rotary Lift Consolidated and you will see the Direct Lift brand. Note-- not all Direct Lift models are certified, so be aware.

BendPak does make very good qaulity lifts (and I am not just saying that because I am dealer). I highly suggest BendPak over Greg Smith and other cheaply produced lifts.

We carry a number of BendPak 2-post lifts under $3,000 and as always that includes free shipping to your door in the main 48 states!

Give us a shout, we can beat most every advertised price! [email protected]

I worked at a shop with one 2-post and three 4-post Bendpack lifts for over 5 years of 7 day a week 12 hour days. In that time we did not have ONE issue with any of the lifts.

This prompted me to acquire 2 Ranger (Bendpak) motorcycle lifts and a BendPak compressor for my current daily work with motorycles.

From real-world work experience, I cannot say enough good about Bendpak.

My wife and I were passing by the Greg Smith in DE so we decided to stop in. They had all of the lifts lined up so we looked at all of them. The metal looked kind of thin, and my wife seemed concerned and asked if I really would trust my life standing under the lift fully loaded. I haven't seen a Bendpack up close yet, but now we are thinking about that or we just may bite the bullet and get a Mohawk.

I stopped in at the Greg Smith in DE also, but wound up with the Bend Pak that I didn't see in person. I would say the gauge of metal in the posts is roughly the same, neither one of the 4 posts I looked at had what I expected, but at the time I was used to working with 2 posts which have MUCH thicker material.
