The owners manual for the MD-6XP says that if you use the 120V power unit, you need to use a "25 amp fuse".
The breaker for my garage circuit is 20A. The GFI in the garage is 20A, and the other receptacles in my garage linked to the GFI are all 15A.
Would I need a dedicated 120 circuit from the breaker box with a 25A breaker and 25A outlet just for this lift? Or, could I just plug it into the existing wall outlets and not use it at the same time as other high draw devices like an air compressor? I was surprised to see 15A outlets installed on a 20A circuit but maybe I just don't understand how that really works.
Anyway, if the current 120 circuit is insufficient I suppose I could just use the 240 outlet for my welder. I just thought 120 would be more flexible if I needed to move it to another house someday.
