Do you need to keep the air line connected to the jack at all times or is it like the HD9 where you need the air only to work the safety latches.

I am contemplating getting one and the reason I'm asking is that I only have one air line in the garage.

Many thanks

You only need air to raise the jack. The hydraulic pump and safety locks will then hold the jack elevated even after the air is disconnected.

You will need to reconnect the air supply in order to raise the ******** the locks to lower the jack.

Like the lift, to be safer, you should raise the jack and then set it down on the safety locks (which are automatic on the RJ45). And, like the lift, you need air to lift the ******** of the safety locks when you want to lower it.

Thanks for the info. I can work with it then with one air hose. Someday I will plumb my garage with multiple outlets.

That is what I said 30+ years ago.... still haven't done it, and living with one hose isn't that difficult, unless there is more than one person using air at any one time.
