Awesome, dude!

Are you installing it yourself? This website is the best place for support... well... other than calling BendPak.

I am considering this lift for my new shop, definitely keep us posted!!

As soon as I coat my floor (within the next 2 weeks?) I'm going to pull the trigger on the lift.

Later

Congrats, in a few weeks you will be wondering why you did not get it sooner. A lift was the best tool I ever bought.

That’s one fine lift. I’m sure that you’ll be happy with it. And you’ll wonder how you ever got along without one.

I'm using bendpaks installers, i figured for the few hundred dollars, the piece of mind of knowing someone that does this for a living installed it will be assuring.

Ive had bendpaks in my old shop and have gone without a lift for a few years now and am really excitied to get off the freezing concrete.

I couldn't agree more with these statements

I had their installer put mine in, probably some of the best money I've spent. They were here probably 4-1/2 hrs & hauled it around 100+ miles for 300.00 installed, that was when gas was 4.00+/gal. I could not have drove my truck there round trip, rented the tools, trailer & everything necessary to do this for much less not to mention the peace of mind knowing it was done right the first time. I was out there doing the wiring for it and asked a lot of questions & learned a bunch while they were putting it in. Congratulations & enjoy:beer:

After I got my lift, I learned that I have many friends and none of them remember to leave with their old motor oil.

Start saving your milk jugs so you can recycle your used oil in them. That's what I do and Autozone is happy to take the whole thing. My biggest delimma is whether or not to help out neighbors with brake job requests. For liability reasons, I've told them that I'd rather not work on any vehicles except my own as I wouldn't want to be responsible for anything that happened to them or their vehicle as a result of my work. I have told some neighbors that they can use the lift and I'd assist them or show them how to do things. So far no takers. Anyway, trust me when I say that once folks know you have a lift at home, you'll get all kinds of requests for things.

Congrats on your new lift.

I have a newbie question: what is the determining factor for floor plate vs no floor plate? I'm trying to think of instances when I don't want a floor plate.

Thanks.

If you're going to ever drop engines or transmissions (or both as a complete unit) you'll definitely appreciate not having to deal with a floor plate. Plus, even if you don't do these things, you'll still like not tripping over the plate every time you walk around or try to bring your oil drain over to where you need it. It's just like have an extension cord on your garage floor as you're trying to work in the garage. You'll be stepping over it all the time and will be trying to walk around it constantly.

ryno - What year is your Cady? It looks awesome up on your lift.

I'm getting this same lift as soon as my foundation cures. Do you think the extended height is needed to be able to get under an SUV (QX4 or Merc ML)?

I have this lift with the 2 ft extension kit, which must be ordered when you order the lift as it changes quite a few of the lift components. It is not required for working on most SUV's. It is required to get full height on large full size work vans or trucks with racks or other equipment mounted on them. Here's a thread with some pictures.

I purchased it through advance auto parts, it was 3000.00 total price. It was drop shipped directly from bendpak to a local truck terminal. I picked it up there and installed myself. It's xpr10ac168. The 168 is the special 2ft extension option.

I have a floor plate model Weaver lift. I was concerned about the plate getting in the way, too. But it never has. I done many engine pulls, disassembled cars being junked, done about everything and it's just not a factor.

My lift came from a shop that does a lot of engine/trans work... they have three lifts with floor plates... no big deal.
