I was pretty set on getting the Bendpak but the local dealer who sells both and said it doesn't matter to him, said that the Forward was a better lift, better warranty, mostly made in USA, with parts more readily available and that that is what he installs at most car dealerships in the area. It's also lower, and with both arms offering 3 stages. He said it was a beefier better lift. Finally, $300 cheaper - not that big a factor, but it's 10% less.

I have no reason to doubt him, but he is a salesman.

Thoughts? Experience with that Forward lift?

I cannot vouch for the Forward unit but I have an older BP XP10 and have to say the thing is flawless. It has been moved twice and never misses a beat. I do not have any way of measuring its use but know there are between 4-5 hundred lifts with it some were a F-550 heavy dump truck that had to push the 10k weight limit. It has seen much lighter duty the past few years but I am a believer in you get what you paid for.

My biggest concern would be service parts but seems that is covered. Hope someone here has a Forward Lift as I am curious about quality and value as well…

The Forward could be a better lift, or the salesman could have a greater profit margin on it. Ask the salesman for some references of those who use the a Forward lift.
