We're tired using small screw drivers to straighten out bent fins. How about some Fin Pliers? I found this one below but it's always better to ask for more options.

I also thought about grinding a cheap pair of pliers but it's always good to get the proper set of tools.

Any suggestions. Pros and Cons etc..

I just touched up some damaged fins on my window AC units. I had ordered two combs from McMaster Carr. They were cheap plastic but they did the trick. They were double ended, with different fin pitches on each end.
I found that it was better to start from the edge if the damaged area and work towards the middle. Sometimes they worked better if pulled, sometimes better if pushed.

Here's what I do:

1) Grab a refreshing beverage, get a pile of straight blade screwdrivers and a couple needle-nose pliers.

2) Turn on some music. Something mellow.

3) Focus on the task at hand and just relax while doing it. It can get tedious, so work on something else to break it up.

I don't mind fixing fins and find it somewhat relaxing.
