My name is Corey and I am a garage journal addict. Found this site some time ago (I'm not exactly sure what I was working on that led me to the forum, but I'm here now so onwards) and have only just got around to introducing myself. Some have seen me around, I post and reply occasionally.

So about me:
A few months shy of 22, about to complete my bachelors in business admin with a major in small business management.
I've run my own property maintenance business in the summer months for the better part of 11 years (licensed for 5).
Hobbies include boating, tinkering (I've always loved taking stuff apart, only recently becoming better at getting it back to one piece), Antique equipment (restoring a 1971 Sears Suburban 12 tractor or "Bessy" as it will be referred to in most threads)
Yes I am the same Bessy from MTF

So right now I'm basically a squatter when it comes to garage space. I have a small workroom set up in the back (uninsulated unfortunately) storage area of my dad's garage, as well as some additional realestate taken up in my Grandmother's double wide garage (where I run 80% of my business out of) for lawnmowers, implements, Tractor parts for my current resto, and two boat projects that need to be addressed.

Since we all love pics on this forum, I'll shoot up a couple of things I have laying around the shop, some of which are viewable in the thread "Amateur Hour: The thread for the little guys"

Which is currently in process as a full restoration, rather than just the quick brush job cosmetics I did above.

The Martin Skiff: A project I picked up for dirt cheap and is now sitting largely untouched in storage until such time as I get some other projects completed (not to mention finish school, I timed that buy horribly.)

The double doors in the rear of the picture open up into "my workshop", which is largely an arena of acrobatics to get around tractor parts, tool boxes and household junk in order to get anything done. No, I don't have any animosity for household junk being stored in the garage... :twak:

My 13' Boston Whaler - Bring Out Another Thousand project, which currently needs a full rebuild of seats and wood work overall. This will be a winter project as time/money permits and I am home from school.

And a mini restoration of my childhood tricycle, which I don't have a whole lot of good shots of just yet.

So that's the just of my goings on. Feel free to stop by the Amateur Hour thread and contribute. I'd love to see some more projects from everybody else so I don't feel like I'm just making a thread about my own stuff!

Cheers,

Richard, I noticed yesterday that some of the first pics put up seem to have been replaced with cats. If you click on them it should take you to the photo bucket that they are hosted on. I'm not 100% sure why that is but I will see about getting them back. I imagine the links are broken as I did just reorganize my buckets recently. In the mean time, I'd love to see some more posts on the thread. I won't be home for another couple of weeks so my postings will be slim until then, unless you guys want more tool pics.

Cheers!
