As to Phillips I probably use 500 plus screws a week in both hardwoods and metal. Buy Makita Gold bits.

What about Japanese and American tools?

Then what's your ranking of the absolutely top brands for bit sets? (PB Swiss, Zephyr, Wiha, Makita, Dewalt, Kobalt...)
And what about the top quality per price brands?

I beat on this Wera like it owed me money, still in great shape. The Snap On? The very first time I used it...on a mild steel screw...:-(

More like Snap Off :)

I like Wiha and Felo bits best

I buy Irwin for impact because they have the most useful assortments for what I do, and I consider impact bits disposable
