I don't frequently use rivets but when i do i use several thousand at s time. Everytime i talk to my boss about buying one he just says that we don't do enough rivets to justify even the cheapest one (the last order i used them on broke 5,000 rivets). what is the best pneumatic rivet gun out there right now? I do mostly 3/16, long shank aluminum rivets on 1/4 alumiun plate and various C channel.

The best Pneumatic rivet guns may come from industrial suppliers like Avdel, Cherry, or Gesipa. I don't have experience with them, and there way too expensive for me to buy just to test. I have a Gesipa hand riveter that's excellent, but I don't know how good a comparison that would be to an automated gun.

We have both Florida pneumatic and pop. They both hold up well in a daily use eviroment. Only thing I'd recommend is a spare set of jaws or two. We sometimes go through 100 per truck a few times a day and it wears the jaws after a while of heavy use.

I could just kick myself in the ****, but a long time ago another GJ member was showing a cheap used tool store and damn if I did not make a copy for myself; they had some fantastic used air tools many of which were used rivet tools.

Maybe give this next web-site a good look see they have a large selection:

Wish I could remember the name of that other store.:dunno:

The yard store.com. Sells used rivet guns. I use jiffy/apt rivet guns. 3x or 4x depending on size of rivets and type of material. Aluminum or steel. Cleo ir and Chicago pneumatic are good brands also

I have the one from Harbor Freight. Used it for many rivets and never had a failure. It's a major pass anywhere I read.

Is there a decent U.S. or European made pneumatic pop riveter that doesn't cost a fortune? What do they go for used? I want to get one to use on my race car instead of borrowing people's all of the time, but buying off shore **** irritates me .
