Best all purpose finishing wheel?

I think I have read the 3M EXL is a good all purpose knock the rust off and leave a consistent finish on the part wheel. Can anyone make a recommendation for someone new to finishing wheels? I am a 0000 steel wool and lubricant guy but would love to speed things along with a gentle wheel that can leave a nice finish.

Depends on what you are working on and what your end goal is. The deburring/blending or scotch brite wheels are still abrasive wheels and thus need to be used cautiously. A fine wire or even non metallic wheel is better for non abrasive cleaning and gets more into a burnished finish compared to the brushed finish the deburring wheels will produce. Wire wheels will also deburr and round over edges easily.
