I wont dare say there the best because of were their from but I will say I like and use these alot. (daily) I have them in both travel bags and in my stationary boxes as well. I like the grip on them for all purpose use like cutting plastic packages, tape and zip ties etc. Someone posted them on the pass fail thread along time ago which brought them to my attention. If I only cut fabric items I would want a loop handle design more shaped like sciccors. I have I beleive the 5 inch model. Hope this helps.

I bought some Fiskars shop shears/scissors 3-4 years ago, made in Sweden, Got some for my Dad a couple of years after buying mine, China.

Far as I know there's nothing differnt about them though. I like them, they'll cut thin flashing and they work real nice for leather.

EMF/medical shears all the way. Yeah those other scissors are nice, but medical shears are tough enough to cut a penny in half and cheap as well (usually about $10 at a medical supply). I've probably got about five pairs strewn about between the house, truck, toolbox, line box, and fourwheeler/sled.

Not stamped with a #, I have the package somewhere though. They came from Menards at any rate.

Not made in Sweden either, made in Finland (my mistake).

Cutco, the kitchen knife people, make a very tough pair of scissors/shears that can cut a penny in half--I've seen it demonstrated and done it myself.

Model 77 JJ made in Olean NY. They are also very cool in that they can be cleaned in seconds by taking them apart.
