I need to pick up a set but I don't use them often enough to justify spending a ton on them. I get SEP pricing so do I just bite the bullet and buy a Snap On set or is there a better deal out there for a decent set?
this set? It looks like this is the one based on the reviews. I have been looking for a set too but I might have to save my pennies for that set. Currently I have a Northern tools set, it handled the 1 snap ring I bought it for, without issue.
If you dont use them much buy a replacable tip set. They will cover a wider range. I personally have snap-on and knipex sets. Work great because i can just grab the one i need and get the job done. No need fumbling with different tips. But im a flat rate tech so time is money. Honestly the set cheechi sugested will do u good.
I have the Proto set for bigger snap rings and an S/K set for smaller snap rings. They have both served me well. Got the Proto at Walter A. Wood in Chattanooga if I remember around $175 to $200 and the S/K off Ebay.
Looks like going with Snap On and SEP pricing is the way to go. The 7pc kit is just under 100. I thought I'd be able to find something decent for 50 bucks but I guess I'll just spend a little extra and go with the Snap On's.
