Best bug remover?

I have a 37 Chevy with big front fenders, flat windshield, lots of front facing surface area. I live in a farm town, so bugs are a thing.

I don’t mind killing a few thousand at a time, but cleaning off the remains afterward isn’t easy. I’ve tried the various “bug and tar” products available locally, none seems to work any better or worse than basic car washing soap.

So, looking for suggestions. What really actually works to remove splatted bug guts from cars?

I use poorboys bug squash. And their bug remover MF towel. Works well and its cheap. I dilute mine unless I have huge mess.

I use WD40 also. Soak the buggy area down before you begin washing, then wash the car as normal.

I soak down the buggy area with Windex and then wash as normal. The key to easy bug removal is also goodprep. I use plexus ( like a quick detailer, chemical Brothers also makes a great QD) on the front end and nothing seems to stick to it.

^^^^^ This..... x1000...... turns the bugs and guts to butter.... leave on for a minute or two and wipe right off.

I had a neighbor who would spray aerosol cooking spray on his bumper before a long drive in the country. He was washing his car right after, so might not make sense for every day.

Hmm. We have some of that. Works great on tobacco smoke residue (old bar signs and decorations). Have to try it out. Does it strip wax?

Does it help prevent infections to the vehicle too?

I use this on my big truck and on my hotrod. Spray on and it releases bugs. I have to do windshield on my big truck once or twice a night when the May flies are in season. Its cheap!

I don't know if it will strip the wax or not. I do know that it makes removing the bugs very easy.

Pootboys bug squash works great. Kenotech has one also that is real good. Ive been installing paint coatings for the last few years, customers love it because nothing sticks to them. love bug season, hose the area and they come right off

Bugs B Gone by Seafoam or some good old elbow grease and finger nail with car wash. Try to get off asap before sun bakes them on.

My brother in FL used to spray the front of his hot rod with Pam cooking spray, then later the bugs wiped off.

Second the dryer sheets, it's the only thing you can use on a motorcycle windshield that won't scratch them, get the car wet then just rub them off.

I too use the magic of WD-40.really works good on tar and bugs.

I really like Poorboys Bug & Tar remover and the Safe Scrub pad. Neither will harm vehicle paint or remove wax.
