Best cabinets for small parts?

I'd like to buy a couple of multi drawer small parts cabinets, for small bolts, washers, etc, etc. This type of thing: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2793691&cagpspn=pla

I was wondering what brands/stores had good quality units, at a fair price. I'd prefer ones with a metal frame, and I'm located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Those bins that you linked, you won't find too much price difference in stores. You could probably get them cheaper at walmart etc in my experience, unless you hate the idea of units where some have the bigger drawers. I have 6 of them and the most expensive was about $30 the least was about $18, different orientations and such. Nuttsgt has it right though, for the same space those containers fit more parts.

I use my cheap old first tool box for fasteners / Hardware / small parts cabinet, works great with the divider / drawer trays, and i can roll it around.

welcome micheal, i see you are 'next door' to me, i use the same things you are refering to, older akro metal cabinets with plastic drawers. i've picked them up around our area over the years at garage sales. also check out the re-use center on south industrial.

First off Welcome to one of the greatest sites on the web. I had 8 of these types of drawer cabinets and the crystal clear type are the best. They do get scratched and can yellow over time too. Do not get any over spray from carb or brake cleaner on them as it distroys the plastic. I finally put in some floor cabinets with lots of shallow drawers (2" deep) and now I just have all the small plastic trays in those. This is wonderful is you can look down and see 40-50 trays and there contents. No more pulling trays out and searching for that one item you just know you have but need to find it. LOL
