Best cheap screwdriver set?

Sometimes certain products get a bad (or good) rap which is undeserved. Then again.. when a product has a pretty decent amount of reviews and it has 2 or 3 stars out of 5... yeah its going to make me hesitant to try it.

Thanks everyone. I may consider the HF ones.....I wish they had a phillips #3....they are also ugly as all hell! The box I am making is not going to get much use at all, since its an MX box and most of my work will be done in the shop. Mainly used of small things...nothing heavy. I have had some Craftsman clear hands and didn't like how they worked with soft screws compared to the Wiha. I to have red about the HD screwdriver and being soft.....I don't think I will use them enough to wear out.

So far it sounds like:
HF pros
HD pros
HD clear
Craftsman Clear/pro

Plus some others.

As for the arguing....I love how people can get pissy over screwdrivers....Keep it up!

If you ever want to spend some money on screwdrivers, MAC hard handles are VERY nice.

between Husky and Kobalt,I would much rather prefer Husky screwdrivers.....on the other hand I like the Kobalt sockets.

There is a 8pc set of Williams hard handles the same as Snapon hard handles for 55 bucks on amazon. I would buy those over any listed. 55 is a great deal for those

if you are lookin on spending 20 dollars on screwdrivers and you want something that is low price that gets the job done and versatility this is your best bet.

The mac and williams are out of the question....I would rather have them in my main box, not in a box that is rarely used.

The ACE Pro Series set is tough. Hate to say it, but they outlasted my Kleins and tips have a precision fit.

Go check out the Greenlee screwdrivers at Lowes; they're pretty nice and reasonably priced.

Really, in a road box that will see minimal use, the orange/green HF, C-man, C-man pro, Husky pro, Stanley, ACE, Pratt-Read, even Northern Tool brand will all be adequate. The only time I have seen a significant difference between brands is when I had to remove rusted or stuck screws.

Home Depot has a set of 10 Dewalt screwdrivers for $20 that are decent and would work for a road box set.

When I did low voltage and av installs I had a set of the husky pro drivers and they were great. They were company supplied tools. The rest of the guys had All Klein. They were constantly borrowing mine. I did get them all addicted to Snap on ratcheting screwdrivers. That was one non company supplied tool that I always had.

i have used a few husky pros for 2 years now
i really like them, they fit in my hand well and show no wear for as much use as they have seen
ive even been using the 4in flat blade as a pry bar for brakes with no issues
