I have a custom set of tools I want to make. Who makes the best cheap torque adapters that would make a good custom tool? No I’m not chopping up my Snappys. By torque adapter I mean this:

Well, that’s what I was going to do but I need the length of a torque adapter to clear other hardware, except the box end can’t fit over the stud, so I need it flare nut style.

Snap On has a few torque adapters flare nut that extend out part # TMRX8, TMRX10, TMRX12 but it’s only SAE small sizes.

What sizes do you need?

I have that 3pc set they very small... to say the least, but when you need them well...

Not sure what your looking to make, but they make really nice torque tools in general...

I'm not a pro, but the T&E set are doing the job for me for some really hard to get to suspension fasteners. The funny thing is the 17mm is the only one I use as far as I can recollect.

I bought the cornwell tiawan set for like 110 bucks on ebay for 10-19. Been way impressed with them, use a 18" breaker bar on them weekly

Get impact socket, saw in half thru the OD.

Get 1018 steel flat bar and radius it to match the socket's OD on both ends, appropriate length to meet your needs, CNC machine the radii if feeling exotic and the need for precision center distance.

Tig weld the square drive to one side of the flat bar, weld the 6pt to the other side.
