I’d like to add a fairly complete hex impact bit set to my toolbox.

I’d like the bits to be about 2” or 50mm in length and include Torx, mm Hex (Allen), and ph Philips . Square drive (Robertson) bits would be a bonus.

The carrying case doesn’t matter since I’ll be putting them in my toolbox.

The Wera 057690 impaktor bit check looks great, but it comes with 25mm bits and is somewhat pricey at around $100.

Currently I think buying a few different sets of Wiha Terminator Impact Power Bit Buddy kits or just buying the Wiha 76885 “maxxtor” impact bit set seems like my best option.

What kits do you guys recommend?

Thanks for the feedback alinc. That Milwaukee kit does look like it’d meet almost all of what I’m looking for.

I almost solely use 2” + bits in my 1/4” hex impact. I’d love to find a kit that didn’t include the 1” bits - which are certainly useful, but I already have plenty of.

Thanks again

I watch for kits like the picture to come on sale. I keep one of the short bits for each fitting and throw the rest in a drawer. Every once and awhile, I need a short ******.
I buy good 2" bits to refill the kit.

One tip. I often use different branded bits for commonly used close sizes. Torx 25 - Bosch and torx 20 Milwaukee is one example. It's amazing how often I'm stuck in some dark corner trying to figure out which size bit I'm holding.

Kits are nice but I consider most common bits consumable. I keep spares around and throw out anything starting to get sloppy.

IMHO you absolutely need adjustable holders that let you clear out space above the 2in bits to hold 4in and 6in bits as needed. One benefit of the 3-6in bits is they can stack in a 6in locking extension. The trick is having the ability to get not just the height but the width for the extension. As, even with a 6in extension, some will have collars, some extra thick shafts, etc.
