Looking to pick up a compression tester for under 100 USD, I would like something that can do both gasoline cars, and atv's. If anyone has any good sources on where to buy them in canada that would be a great help also.

What do you guys suggest?

Maybe it was just dumb luck but I bought a hardly used old school Mac on ebay for like $15 shipped. It came complete in it's original carry case with instructions, 3 adapters, and the flexible hose with bleeder.

I don't know if you have Sears in Canada but I recently bought a compression tester, with 10,12 &14 mm adapters and extension hose, for $35. That should cover all ATV's and cars, I think. It is made in china, but we compared it to a Snap-on tester and it reads the same.

For a little more $$, Cornwell has a nice compression tester kit for about $125. Looks to be decent quality but also made in china.

I got a new Matco compression tester off of Ebay a few months ago for 12.00 shipped.

dam thats a sick deal! But someone can correct me if im wrong but star is the producer of the major truck brand compression testers. Ebay search Star compression tester and buy what ever one is in your price range.
