Best Compressor for Infrequent Use

I own several Kaiser and Quincey screw type compressors that are at my business and they are awesome, but my understanding is that if they are not used constantly it’s hard on them.

I want to find a good compressor that will be ok under infrequent use. Something that is quiet too. I am planning on putting in a Bendpak 14,000lb lift, so it would be hooked up to that. Other than that, just basic stuff like filling up tires and things. Not a lot of air tool use, although I may have to get some just to find an excuse :D

I don’t want portable. I am thinking of running air lines to various locations throughout the garage, so it’s convenient to use when I need it.

Any advice or suggestions?

Someone had put up a link about a blue tooth that was linkable to your garden hose or compressor. Home depot sold them. Found here https://www.theonion.com/home-depot-releases-new-bluetooth-cordless-hose-1819592894 Problem solved, but of course at $899 they are spendy. I also hear they really drain the battery so you want to make sure you have a charging dock in your garage. Problem solved!!

Pu5 in another room like I did being in the cellar. Otherwise build a noise absorbing cover loosely fitted. I like the cellar better and that nice long vertical run helps ( some)keeping the condensation at bay . You’ll still need to run a couple drops to catch condensation if you’re going to run any sort of air tools, AND YOU WILL!
Having a lift and not using power tools is sort of like going steady with the prom queen that won’t put out🤢. There’s always gonna be something important lacking🤦🏼*@#$♂️. I’ve been wrenching my own stuff 45 years and still don’t have a lift[emoji85], but the thought of not using power tools wrenching makes me cringe. [emoji51]. You don’t need a super one to do most things but like everything else today the ratings are a pure fantasy so go big, you won’t regret it. Mines 29 gallon oil belt type something like 13 CFM@6 HP[emoji849]ya sure🤨Chinese maybe🤥. It runs an air gun and will do air sanders if I’m careful. In other words go big or go home and regret it. My cheesey Campbell Hausfield ( must be a German named Chinaman) is still ticking 20 years on and I beat it to death. .......and when it finally goes tittys up guess what I’m going to get.............

I love my ingersoll rand garage mate. Not huge, nice and quiet and will run a decent amount of air tools.
