I have a recurring root issue in my sewer line and have been clearing it with a 100 ft cobra 1/3hp drain snake. Its a bit janky, thinking of upgrading to something better. Any recs?
Not actually an answer to the question you asked but I had my neighbor who's a plumber come and jet our lines all the way out to the street. Roto rooter or any decent plumber will have a jet good enough to blast out the roots. Now I dump a bit of root killer down sewer every couple months and haven't had an issue since. For the price of a decent jet I can buy a lot of root killer, just don't do too much or too often or you risk killing the tree attached to the roots.
