Have you used one? Those little things have STONES. The impacts that size can drive screws all day and they fit almost anywhere. Not too mention how light they are

i've had that drill / impact set for maybe two years now. After feeling the quality of it i bought the weed wacker too match. Two batteries easily does 800' of edging and weighs nothing. Recently i bought the recip saw to match the set.

Could not be happier.

I bought a similarly sized Flex branded impact four years ago and I've used the heck out of it. It's had plenty of power for driving 3" screws. The batteries are starting to die, so it doesn't have the power it used to, but I've sure been happy with it for the money I've spent.

Menards has a version that also looks like the m12 - anyone know if the batteries are interchangeable?

No. TTI makes both but they are not the same. The batteries are never interchangeable. I have Milwaukee and Bosch and the batteries are NEARLY identical but just enough to make it not possible. I compared my Bosch portable bandsaw with a Masterforce (Menards) and it was clearly made by the same place.

There are I think like 3 or 4 manufacturers who make just about all the cordless tool brands.

HP108L is the model number, link works fine for me.

I'm glad to see somebody else buys Ryobi and is happy with it. I just bought a reciprocating Ryobi saw for an exhaust job I'm working on and it cut really well. $65 verse $199 for most other brands I looked at. I was surprised to see Dewalt was only $85.

All kidding aside, I have a set of the 12V Craftsman Nextec tools and I reach for them before my 18V Dewalts. They are powerful and light and lithium. Occasionally I need the extra power the Dewalt provides but not often.

I thought it looked familiar. Just like my little Craftsman. I like the size and keep it in my "go" tool bag. I really like my Dewalt 20V Max Li-ion for the bigger tasks.

I'll have to look closer, but last time I was a Menards, I pulled the battery out of one of those Masterforce jobs and it looked just like the mIlwaukee M12 ones...anyone have both?

yep look like made by the same company but with the contact positions moved so not compatible...

I am not a big fan of Ryobi products although I must admit their stuff isn't all bad. I have a Ryobi stand for my 12 inch DeWalt sliding chop saw that works OK and is pretty solid, but all things considered, I just feel there are better choices around. For example, I like the Ridgid stand better and the DeWalt stand is really nice too.

I have a Ryobi vibrating finish sander (corded) that I have abused over the past 15 years. It stopped working once about 5 years ago, so I smacked it and its been fine ever since. A more durable tool than my Bosch 18V cordless drill which has tanked the chuck (and unable to remove from the body of the drill).
