Im in Northern Virginia and only need to heat the garage when I am out working on projects. Thinking about one or two elec heaters. G73?...approx 750 sq feet. (we dont have natural gas here). Thanks

I have done lots research and asked many questions on the site. A lot really like the Dayton G73! I went with that a few weeks back for my 300 square feet "man cave", but yet to use it. It's all wired up and ready to go, though.

If you only want to heat that area up to 60 degrees or so, you should be fine with the G73 Dayton heater. It is rated for 500 sq feet but it will heat more. just take a little longer to bring temp up.

I am actually going to buy another one to heat my other 1200 square feet up. Since I am only wanting to keep it around 40 degrees (for hot rod cars) during the winter they said it should be fine!

I'm in about the same circumstance here. I'm thinking I need a little more available output than the G73 offers. Does anyone know of a unit that's a step up from this? Something around 30K BTU perhaps?

Issue for me is that I would have to run the 30A 240v circuit to install one of these. Given the cost of gas vs electricity, seems for my purposes to be a better option to go ahead and run the gas line and go with one of the Hot dawg style heaters in the 30-45k BTU range.
