For those of you out there who use a lot of it. What in your opinion, is the best quality electrical tape money can buy? And while we're at it, what are the brands to avoid?

Another vote for 33+ (y) (y)
I would always keep a full box on the truck and then replace it once we broke into it. I found this was the best tape for all weather conditions (cold and hot).

TIP! NEVER throw away a roll when it gets "small" because that roll is very useful for "taping up" in tight spaces where you can’t get a full roll into.

Segue - Scotch 35 COLORED tape, is great for "marking" things ! (my 10mm socket has yellow tape on it). At a minimum you should have a roll of red and a roll of white.

Who throws away stuff like that? You should be keeping every remnant of everything because you never know when you're going to need a 3/8" long piece of tape!

Ha ha
How many 1-2 foot long pieces of Romex or pieces of black, white, green, red THWN wire do most of us have in a box somewhere “in case we need it“ someday, ?

Some Walmarts have the Super 33+ in 52’ (not 66’) rolls for $3 on sale right now, but many are out of stock. I just bought 6 rolls.

Scotchs 33+ .... I have used them to make my Christmas lights (giant sphere with lights) for years... It holds up better than other tape IMHO. I have 20 y/o decorations that I display outside for several months and the Scotchs 33+ outperforms all the others I have tried that tend to dry out and flake after a year or two. It sticks better in cold weather and gums up less often.

Second best is Harbor Freight multi-rolls for just a few bucks.... for when you don't care if it lasts forever. I use the cheap **** to wrap up my electrical extension cords I have rolled up after Christmas to keep them untangled.

I don't like the 88 Scotch tape, it is thick and cumbersome to work with.

This is all I've ever used.

Maybe the equivalent of 33 in the skinny section? Idk

Most of what I work on is motorcycles and cars, so I use 88. I don't use much of it, but that's what I keep on hand.

I absolutely cannot stand cheap or house brand electrical tape.
