best floor coating product diy for a working floor

Ok I have been studying and studying and still not sure. I have a 30x40 shop that sees a lot of traffic and abuse. It is an old floor, not sure on age probably early 80's, and I need to take my 2 post lift down to replace caps. So I'm finally going to clear out the shop and grind the floors. I want something that I can mop up oil spills and keep dust down. It does see some abuse (welding, grinding, engine hoist, etc....) so I want something tough. What would be the best product that doesn't take a pro to install and won't cost an arm and a leg.

If you are going to have weld slag, you will need to protect any coating or go with a penetrating sealer. For my money I would do a 4-coat rust bullet system with our anti wear anti skid in the last coat.

What is the waiting time between coats and what price would it be for enough to cover a 30x40 shop, one of my other worries it the time process, cause it is a project I need to finish soon, I do a lot of side work and I need to get my shop back in service by mid the late November

A single coat is often enough. Cost runs about 30 cents/sq ct w/ the Garage Journal Discount. Recoat time is temperature dependent but can be as little as 3-4 hours, or best to wait overnight. A non skid can be added very inexpensively.

I'm in the same boat and will need a coating for my 24x32 concrete floor that is freshly poured.

This product looks pretty nice, but I'm confused on how you apply it if you want gray with flakes and anti skid. Do you put down two coats with gray colorant mixed in, sprinkle the flakes on top of the second coat, then mix the anti skid in to product without colorant and put that on clear as a third coat?

(2) color coats, flakes, (1) clear coat.
All done in one day.

Anti-Skid can be mixed into clear.

Thanks, based on your experience can you also help me in figuring how much product I'll need for the job?

The pigment packs say they're sold in pound sizes, but the recommendation is 4 quarts per 5 gallon bucket?

I'm trying to figure out the most economical way to buy the product to get two color coats and one clear based on 800sqft.
