I have read a number of these posts and I my head is still spinning. I am looking to epoxy the garage floor in the next couple of weeks but I am wondering who has the best product for the regular DIY'er. I am looking for something durable. I have been looking at Legacy Ind or Epoxy Coat. I have numerous pits in the concrete that need to get filled in prior to the epoxy going down (what do u use to fill in the pits?) Also, will acid etching work or is it better to take s 7 inch angle grinder and rough up the floor? Thanks in advance!!!!

Krieger:

Pits can be filled in with our gel crack filler. Fill the day before you coat.
It is compatible with our Legacy Industrial's Standard or HD kit and yes it will work with Epoxy-Coat also.

All concrete must be profiled either chemically (acid) or mechanically (diamond ground) before applying an epoxy. This opens up the pores of the concrete and allows for a good bond. There are a couple different ways to handle the pitting/spalling issues. Pictures of the concrete would be helpful.

Christine,

When looking at the Epoxy Coat website, I cannot find anything that fills in pits and cracks. Do you guys sell anything that??????? I am leaning towards your product but I want to make sure that the filler I use will work with Epoxy Coat.
