What kind of floor is it that you are sealing? What is the level of finish it currently has? How glossy do you want when you are done? Do you want a sealer that will act as a sacrificial cover that you re-do every year or so or will you want something that will live a long time under abuse?

Brand new concrete floor nothing done to it yet. And don't care to much about looks just want to be able to clean up oil and stuff easy. And want it to last for a long time.

Assuming your floor is at least a month old, epoxy is going to be your best bet in the long run. If you aren't concerned about looks, the easiest way would be to put down a good epoxy primer first and then follow up with a couple coats of clear polyurethane. No hassles with paint chips and color. The polyurethane has better scuff resistance and tends to wear even better. You should get years of good service with a simple floor like that. Though your floor is new, you still need to prep it as always.

Here is an article on floor sealers that will explain some of the differences for you and here is a nice chart that may help you as well.

In terms of product, there are quite a few company representatives on this forum that will be more than glad to tell you about their products and answer questions.

Good luck!

Thanks! And also was looking for some personal feed back on brands. How people liked them, how they hold up and so on and so on. I use my garage for a garage. I pull motors, transmissions, do oil changes, weld, and everything to do with fabing steel. So need something that's going to hold up to most of that as much as possible.

If you will burn cut and weld you need to either cover up your topical sealer or look at a penetrating sealer like densifier .

i don't know what i have based on this recommendation, but i'm over 7months into this product and it's doing it's job.. for welding and spatter from table height.
