Ive seen people on here going with epoxy.

But was wondering what will be best for my shop. Ill be putting my tractor in there and may have my harrows needing repair thus will possibly scratch the floor anyways.

Then I may be welding on the floor sometimes or spilling oil.

What is best to get or just leave it plain concrete?

Best? That was my dilemma. I think most here do a floor based on a style or a custom look they want while also having ease of cleaning and durability and then you have to factor in cost. I don't know of an epoxy coating that won't burn so I wouldn't recommend it for welding/grinding. I'd stay with concrete but if you want a nice custom floor to stand up to scratches and welding, might look at a through body commercial grade porcelain. It'll likely hold up better than the concrete it covers but it's probably the most expensive option too.

Truth is all of us would like to say ours is the best. Of course mine really is :lol_hitti

In all seriousness. I would not go with tile or mats on this.

A good coating such as a good epoxy system (93% solids or better) top coated with an aliphatic urethane or Polyurea with anti wear additive would work well. So would a complete polyurea system. BUT it will not tolerate weld slag

If oil is your primary concern and you do not plan on protecting the floor when welding then a densifier and Ghostshield 8505 would be a very good bet.

You can find all of our garage floor coatings here

Legacy, Armorpoxy and others also have outstanding coatings.

How much will that cost for a 30x30 area?

In our new home I am going to go kind of the custom look on the attached garage with the epoxy and large flakes but for the shop I am merely going plain concrete but I have asked the contractor to burn the finish. I am told that is the term when you want it smooth to the point of almost being polished but extremely smooth. I do too much welding/fabricating and the epoxy doesn't hold up to that or last.

Lots of options available, but a properly prepped floor with a primer, 100% solids epoxy and our Military grade topcoat will work great for this.

Hi, polished concrete is usually not used in garages as the available stain blocker that gets burnished in are not very resistant to oil, fuels, salts, and chemicals. Also very high cost per sq ft.

Great for foot traffic, not ideal for vehicular traffic. Our Prep-crete Division does concrete polishing, and we have never done a garage for this reason.

You can get the same look by giving the floor a light grind and coating it with our SPGX in clear, also at a much lower cost.
