Ok everybody I am trying to get some organizing ideas for my 20x20 garage. I know I can do a search and there are a lot of great ideas out there for all different things. Now lets change it up a little by showing some of your best DIY or mods that you liked the best and may be we can all get some new ideas no matter how big or small.

Stacked workbench/toolcrib, with built in parts washer. Built on an old drafting table using salvaged deck lumber and CL freebie Ikea kitchen cabinets and butcher block. All commonly used tools are instantly available (rachets and sockets are in the shallow drafting table drawer). Lighting has been added since the pic. CL cheap doors on top provide overhead storage and some dust protection.

Cons: Work bench is small, but I have other work space. Salvaged materials may not fit some decor schemes. ;)

This is a 5 Stitches exclusive design and nobody has done this on the GJ before. Here's the finish pic.

Here's the problem. I like the look of traditional stack. The problem with a stack is that it gets top heavy and moving it is a pain. Also since I don't have a real intermediate chest I can not bolt the top chest down. So if moving it it could easily fall over. Also if I want to do anything on middle chest I have to remove all the drawer and lift it off top chest. So how do I keep the look of a traditional stack and solve this problem. So here what I did.

Each chest is mounted to the wall by itself. So I can remove the top, middle or bottom by itself without moving any other box.

I put a row of sheveing up on both sides of the shop. It was enough to get the sheveing unit out of there to open some space. My shop is 24'x24' and I have plenty wedged in there. For me, I need to keep enough open space to get my F150 in. I'll be damn if I need to work on in winter and can get into a heated shop. This picture is from when I first put it up. I have rearranged stuff, but it gives an idea of what jam up there.

What about a Steevo style HF box based work bench to consolidate tool storage and work space? Will say for a 20'x 20', you look to have more room then my 24'x24'.
