Best Hand Cleaner

So, I figured this would be the best forum to pose the question.

What's the best hand cleaner on the market?

I've used gojo and orange cleaner, with a brush and still can't get the oil, crime and god knows what living under my nails after wrenching on the rover.

Any recommendations would be great

Apply the Gojo at start of day and rub it in. The lanolin will help repel grime during the day.

Rinse & repeat !! ;)

Soak your hands in a mixture of Dawn, lemon juice and hot water for 10 minutes.

After they soak rub olive oil over them and let it sit for a few minutes.

Finally wash hands with soap and water.

You should be all good after that.

Those Gojo scrubbing wipes are handy... I've used the SK branded version.

Hmmm, I've used both with great success. I think it is a must to use them without water. Once you wet your hands all bets are off. I usually put one or two pumps on my hand and really start to work it it. I use a small plastic brush under my nails and on the big creases in my hands. I just keep working it in. It's sometimes hard to see what you have missed (cause your hands are a big filthy mess at this point) but I try to get it all before the rinse. All bets are off after the rinse. It seems like, once water hits it, everything stops working.

The gojo without pumice you are suppose to work into your hands without water till its black. Then rinse and it should all be gone. Or at least most of it.

I like Fast Orange by Permatex, but the best way of really keeping your hands clean is to wear gloves. For messy jobs that involves fluids, I find that dish washing gloves work the best. They hold up better than surgical gloves and are waterproof unlike mechanic gloves. Plus the bright yellow color makes them easy to find.

never tired Boraxo, might have to give that a go. The homeless dirty nail look isnt flying at my 9-5 office job

I'm a big fan of Mean Green Industrial Hand Cleaner. It cleans better than Fast Orange and Gojo in my opinion. It also does wonders for the little rash areas I end up getting from the little bits of poision ivy I end finding around my house.

My wife's uncle was a distributor for a company that sold something called "Orange Stuff". It was a white tub with Orange writing on it. It worked really well. I used to get samples from him from broken cases. I can't find it online or any trace of it. I will have to see if I can find a can at home and see what company it lists on it.

a bike mechanic friend suggested I first put standard liquid hand soap in one palm first then put the borax on that same hand. It made the borax stick and essentially made like the off the shelf liquid mechanic hand soap.

Honestly, I just use whatever degreaser I have on hand, usually Purple Power. It works great. Try and wear gloves whenever possible to reduce the amount of grease you're taking on though, it's hard to thoroughly remove, although a scouring pad certainly works well.

I have used it all, Gojo, Fast Orange, Goop, laundry detergent, laquer thinner, dish soap, and on and on. Nothing, I repeat, nothing worked as well as Stoko Kresto. Just one pump, add a little water, and it cleans the filthiest of hands.

Its water activated, so it works exceptionally well on already wet hands, something the citrus based cleaners do not.

I highly recommend this product.

Honestly, i just go do my dishes softens the hands and dish soap is a degreaser and use a nail brush.

when i used to work on a ship engines,we had a 55 gallon drum barrel,it was used to wash off the hands at the end of the shift,and in case that we were working with Sika flex,we had barrel filled with acetone,lol i must admit my were dry as a cardboard :LOL i was using it on a daily base for 2 years,but our employer was giving us a hand cream every week,i was never using it :bounce:

STOKO KRESTO for me. As a car painter their CUPRAN SPECIAL is the only way to get 2K urethanes and Bondo off of your hands. They are now making a cherry version of KRESTO that smells really nice.

The Cherry Gel GoJo is pretty nice for non-paint applications.

I personally use gojo in a wall dispenser I got from peopboys. Not the same **** that's in the orange jugs, it's got coarser grit and is kinda gray in color.

However, at a building I service, they have a "Zep round one" dispenser and it's the best **** I've used.
